Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Splice View ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of service

Splice View is a web-based tool that allows users to upload before & after screenshots and recordings, annotate them, and share interactive comparisons with clients via a shareable link. The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time.

3. Account & eligibility

• →You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• →You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• →You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• →You must provide accurate information when creating your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• ✕Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• ✕Upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content
• ✕Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
• ✕Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• ✕Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission

5. Your content

You retain full ownership of any content you upload to Splice View (screenshots, recordings, annotations). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store and display it solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not sell, share, or use your content for any other purpose. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights to upload any content.

6. Plans & billing

• ✦The Free plan includes 3 projects and 5 recordings per project.
• ✦The Pro plan is billed monthly at $19/month and includes unlimited projects and recordings.
• ✦Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card details.
• ✦Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• ✦Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis - contact us within 7 days of a charge.

7. Shareable links

When you share a project via a shareable link, anyone with that link can view the comparison without logging in. You are responsible for managing who you share links with. We are not liable for any content accessed via links you choose to share.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, without prior notice. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Splice View shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, revenue, or profits. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Romania.
